Machine & plant engineering: your drive, thought through.

Your gearbox supplier helps decide whether your machine ends up compact — and whether it ships on time. We design the drive around your machine: matched to installation space, interfaces and load profile, from prototype to series, manufactured at our own plant in Marchtrenk.

  • OEM partner
  • precision-fit design
  • prototype to series
/ The challenge

When standard gearboxes do not fit the design.

A catalogue drive forces your design into its frame size: adapter parts, wasted installation space, compromises on weight and interfaces. And every change during development triggers another loop — while the delivery date you promised for your machine stands firm.

  • Installation space and interfaces dictate the gearbox — not the other way round
  • Gearbox lead times dictate your delivery date
  • Limited power reserves for future machine variants
  • Every change loop costs design hours and schedule
/ Our solution

The drive adapts to your machine.

We design gearboxes around your machine — not the other way round — and remain your contact across the entire product lifecycle.

01

Precision fit instead of compromise

We design installation space, mounting dimensions, weight and power around your machine — saving adapter parts, compromises and design hours.

02

Future-proof design

We think ahead to reserves and variants, so your drive also carries the next, more powerful machine generation.

03

One partner across the lifecycle

From prototype through series to spare parts — dedicated contacts and reliable deadlines from Austria.

/ Applications

Where we are at work.

Drives that disappear into your machine — instead of dictating it.

  • Drives for special and series machines
  • Mixing, agitating and extruder drives
  • Press, roller and calender drives
  • Conveying and handling systems
  • Test and experimental rigs
  • Packaging and process plants
/ Design & engineering

The knowledge behind the design.

What matters for OEMs in machine and plant engineering:

  • precise integration into installation space and interfaces,
  • binding delivery dates for series production,
  • design reserves for more powerful machine generations,
  • one contact across the entire lifecycle.

The drive follows the machine

We design installation space, mounting dimensions, weight and configuration around your machine design — not the other way round. That simplifies your machine and saves space.

Early integration saves later changes

The earlier we join the design phase, the more cleanly the drive can be integrated. We think ahead to variants and reserves.

From prototype to series

One-off, small series or full series — with binding deadlines and spare-parts availability from a single source in Austria.

Key terms explained
Configuration (coaxial / parallel / right-angle)

The position of input and output relative to each other: coaxial (single axis, planetary), parallel-shaft (helical) or at an angle (bevel/crown gear). It determines installation space, stiffness and integration.

Ratio i

Ratio of input to output speed (i = n_in / n_out). A high ratio converts high speed into high torque — achievable across multiple stages.

Power density

Transmittable torque per installation space or weight. Planetary gearboxes achieve particularly high power density by distributing the load across multiple planets.

Load spectrum

The time-based distribution of all occurring loads — continuous load, peaks, starting and shock torques. A serious design calculation works with the load spectrum, not with a single nominal rating.

/ Why ATP

Your partner for Machine & Plant Engineering.

Designed for your load profile

We calculate every gearbox on the actual load spectrum and the real operating conditions of your plant — not merely on a theoretical nominal rating.

Brand-independent service

We maintain, repair and replace gearboxes from all manufacturers — including reverse engineering of legacy equipment and spare parts to original dimensions or with an improved design.

Fast support when it matters most

Downtime does not keep office hours. Our service hotline is staffed around the clock — we assess the situation, agree the next steps with you and dispatch our service technicians right away.

Engineering from Austria

Design, manufacturing and service from a single source in Marchtrenk — since 1995. Short paths, dedicated contacts, full responsibility for the result.

/ FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

  • / 01Do you develop drives to fit our machine?+
Yes. We design gearboxes around your machine design, installation space and load profile — as a one-off, small series or full series, from prototype to maturity.
  • / 02Can you commit to dates for series deliveries?+
Yes. As an engineering and manufacturing partner from a single source, we plan delivery dates bindingly and keep spare parts available for your series.
  • / 03Do you provide support as early as the design phase?+
Gladly. The earlier we join, the better the drive can be integrated into your machine — saving installation space, weight and later changes.
